We are delighted to offer popular non-examined leisure courses for adults in Philosophy and Mythology, and are thrilled to announce the introduction of Anglo-Saxon History starting this September.

Our Philosophy courses invite you to explore life's fundamental questions and delve into the minds of the world’s greatest thinkers. They are for curious, open-minded learners wanting to explore the world's oldest, and newest, questions. We offer Philosophy continuation courses for learners who have studied our Introduction to Philosophy/term 1 course, however, anyone is welcome to join these classes. Please do get in touch if you would like to speak to the tutor regarding joining an appropriate class.  

Our ‘Legends & Lore’ mythology course is offered once a year and takes learners on a journey through the world's most captivating myths and legends. Participants will read, discuss, compare and analyse various myths, examining how these ancient stories have shaped societies throughout history.

Our new Anglo-Saxon History course will transport you to the fascinating world of early medieval Britain. You will the rise of powerful kingdoms that dominated the landscape for 500 years and their will be a particular focus on Winchester, the Royal Capital of the Kingdom of Wessex, and the surrounding area.

Whether you're seeking intellectual stimulation, a deeper understanding of our cultural foundations, or simply the joy of learning in a relaxed environment among like-minded adults, these courses offer the perfect opportunity to pursue knowledge purely for pleasure.
