We are one of the few colleges that run leisure German courses for adults in the South. All of our German language classes are non examined and currently run in the evenings only. We have something for all abilities, so whether you are looking to learn the basics for a holiday or improve your conversational German, we can help!

Semester 1 classes start in September and normally run for 20 weeks. On completion students have the option to continue on to our Semester 2 classes.

Please note that if enrolments for a course are low, classes might be reduced in length/duration to avoid cancellation of the course.

The CEFR is an international standard for describing language ability. It describes language ability on a six-point scale, from A1 for beginners, up to C2 for those who have mastered a language.

For complete beginners, these classes take you through the basics of the language and related cultures. For learners with several years previous knowledge. Focus is on the use of present, past and future tenses in everyday conversations. For confident speakers who want to practise as they expand their knowledge of relevant local culture, media and lifestyle.
