Overview

This 5-week gentle Yoga class blends mindful movement, breath awareness, and relaxation techniques to support both physical and mental well-being. This class is designed to be accessible to individuals of varying abilities, including those new to yoga, with a focus on nurturing strength, enhancing flexibility, and promoting deep relaxation.

What Will I Study?

This five-week course offers gentle movements to encourage stress relief and deep rest. Each hour-long session gently guides you toward tranquility by combining calming, releasing movements with focused meditation and relaxation. We begin with slow, deliberate movements designed to unwind stiffness and restore joint mobility. Throughout the practice, you will learn to use mindful breathing to soothe your nervous system. You will be guided through deeply restorative, supported poses paired with relaxation, allowing your body and mind to completely unwind from weekly pressures. This course is dedicated to fostering deep rest and a peaceful state of mind that will deepen over the five weeks.

Entry Requirements

No prior experience with yoga or meditation is necessary to join this relaxing course. Please note that the practice involves gentle movements and supportive rest on the mat, so participants should be comfortable getting up and down from the floor unassisted.

Materials

You are welcome to bring your own yoga mat if you have one, other wise these will be provided. Please bring a blanket with you and wear layers.

Progression

On completion, students may choose to continue with a further Yoga or Hatha Yoga course, or try another health and fitness course.
