Join Counsellor Steph Miller MTA BACP, on this one day CPD session for Counsellors. This course is also open to those who are considering counselling training, or anyone with an interest in learning more about the impact of nature on our mental health. Steph will discuss the impact of being outside on your mental health and explore the benefits of the outdoors and how this helps our minds to relax.
What Will I Study?
Participants will explore the many great benefits of being outdoors, such as stress recovery, restoring attention and improving cognitive function. You will look at how spending time outdoors on a regular basis lowers cortisol levels and releases dopamine, which is responsible for mood, focus, heart rate, sleep and more.
Participants will learn about current research on the impact of nature on the brain, how this is evolving and how the mental health world is responding.
