ELCAS

The UK’s Enhanced Learning Credits Administration Service (ELCAS) scheme is designed to support members of the Armed Forces—both serving personnel and service leavers—in gaining higher-level education and recognised qualifications as they transition into civilian life or advance within the military. ELC credits can be used for courses at Level 3 and above.

Eligible individuals can access up to three separate payments, helping to reduce the financial barrier to further education and training. To be eligible for ELCAS funding, you must be a member of the UK Armed Forces or an ex-service personnel who has been in service for a minimum of six years. ELCAS funding covers up to 80% of the total cost of an approved course, up to a maximum of £2,000 per financial year, for up to three years. The remaining 20% of the course fee must be paid by you or your employer.

For further information and to view eligibility requirements, visit the ELCAS website or contact our funding team on funding@psc.ac.uk
