Overview

Come spend an enjoyable morning learning more about Portuguese knitting! The session is suitable for seasoned knitters as well as beginners. All you need to have is some curiosity about a different knitting style!

Portuguese knitting is a technique from Portugal that is known for being highly ergonomic and gentle on the hands. Instead of tensioning the yarn with the fingers, the yarn is draped around the neck or held with a neck pin, allowing stitches to be formed with a simple thumb flick. This method creates smooth, even tension with minimal movement, making purling effortless and the style especially comfortable for knitters seeking a more relaxed, hand-friendly approach.
