Learn how to use the beauty of nature to create stunning jewellery from Silver Clay. We will use foraged leaves and other natural objects and capture their finest detail in solid silver. This course has been designed for students who already have some previous experience of working with silver clay.
It is assumed that you will have a basic Silver Clay tool kit. All other equipment will be provided, including your first 10g pack of clay. Additional clay, materials and jewellery findings can be purchased through the tutor during the course.
What Will I Study?
Using leaves to directly imprint into silver clay
Cutting, shaping and texturing silver clay
Creating your own silicone mould to capture natural objects
Refining and polishing
Using a patina
Entry Requirements
This course is for students who have completed the Beginners Silver Clay course, or those who already have experience and confidence in working with Silver Clay.
Materials
A basic silver clay tool kit is required. If you have any questions regarding what tools to bring, please get in touch.
Progression
On completion you will have a creative new hobby and could potentially start your own jewellery business using Silver Clay. You could also enrol onto one of our other Silver Clay courses or workshops.
