Homework is given on a weekly basis. To benefit most from the course, you will be encouraged to read the materials used during lessons and refer to the course book.
What Will I Study?
You will expand your vocabulary and grammar using all four language skills (speaking, listening, reading and writing) on practical topics to enable you to communicate.
We will cover a range of topics, which may include:
Talking about yourself – activities in the recent past, views and preferences in the present tense, & future plans
Continued practice of real dialogue exchanges
Using clips from TV news or documentaries, as well as whole articles from French newspapers and magazines, discovering & discussing cultural topics, then exploring related vocabulary themes
Study of two films and two short novels
You will also be studying the grammar of the language. Some of the grammar points to be studied are:
Consolidating the perfect past, the imperfect past, the simple future and the conditional present, and the subjunctive present
Learning the past historic for novel-reading
Study of A-level grammar points, with alternation of revisiting basics.
