Overview

We are delighted to introduce our new Chair Yoga course. This 10-week course is designed to make the benefits of yoga accessible to individuals of all ages and abilities, including those with limited mobility or who prefer a gentle practice. It is particularly suitable for anyone who may find it difficult to easily transition from the floor.

What Will I Study?

Participants will learn a variety of seated and standing yoga poses, breathing techniques and relaxation exercises, all performed with the support of a chair. Each session will focus on promoting flexibility, strength, balance and mindfulness, empowering participants to improve their overall wellbeing in a safe and inclusive environment.

You will carry out seated warm up exercises to mobilise the spine and joints, as well as gentle stretches for the neck, shoulders, arms and wrists. Exercises can be modified and varied to accommodate different abilities and limitations.

You will leave the course feeling more confident, relaxed and empowered to continue your yoga practice and incorporate it into your daily routine. You will hopefully experience improved physical and mental well-being, regardless of age or ability.
