GCSE Biology gives learners a firm foundation to gain an understanding of the workings of the human body, organisms, evolution and the environment. Studying GCSE Biology will provide you with the knowledge and skills to help you progress onto studying science at university or for a career in healthcare. This course can also help you to develop your curiosity for the natural world and strengthen your analysis and research skills.
What Will I Study?
You will study a wide range of topics to help you to demonstrate your knowledge and analysis of scientific ideas. Some of the subjects covered include cell biology, infection and response, homeostasis, bioenergetics, evolution and many more.
Entry Requirements
There are no entry requirements to study GCSE Biology, however you may be invited for a screening prior to being accepted.
Materials
Your Tutor will recommend books and online resources at the beginning of the course.
Progression
You may wish to progress to a Biology A-Level, upgrades in careers, or an Access to Higher Education Diploma Course.
