Overview

Building on the skills and techniques learned during the Silver Clay for Beginners course, this course will give you the opportunity to explore this wonderful material further. Students will be encouraged to devise with their own projects, which will be supported by the tutor as they learn and progress. This course is suitable for students who have completed the Beginners Silver Clay course or those who have experience in working with the material (please contact the tutor for tools needed if you have not completed the Beginners course).

It is assumed that you will have a Silver Clay tool kit from the Beginners course. All equipment will be provided, including your first 10g pack of clay and a 5g silver clay syringe. Additional clay, materials and jewellery findings can be purchased through the tutor during the course.

What Will I Study?

  • A recap of skills previously learned in shaping, cutting, texturing and refining.
  • A recap of setting cubic zirconia stones
  • Adding patina
  • Making your own moulds
  • Using a syringe
  • Complex designs and layering dry clay

Entry Requirements

This course is suitable for students who have completed the Beginners Silver Clay course or those who have some experience in working with the material and would like access to an experienced tutor whilst working on personal projects.

Materials

It is assumed that you will have a Silver Clay tool kit from the Beginners course. All equipment will be provided, including your first 10g pack of clay and a 5g silver clay syringe. Additional clay, materials and jewellery findings can be purchased through the tutor during the course.
