This course is for learners with little or no knowledge of the language, who want an introduction to the Spanish language and want to use it when on holiday in Spain or Latin America. You will learn the basics of the Spanish language, using all four language skills (speaking, listening, reading and writing), to enable you to communicate in situations that you are likely to encounter as a tourist.
We will listen to audio materials and practice pronunciation in class and will also spend some time developing your reading and writing skills. We will also look at basic Spanish grammar.
Homework is given on a weekly basis. To benefit most from the course, you will be encouraged to read the materials used during lessons and refer to the course book.
No previous knowledge of Spanish is necessary. You may find it useful look at language websites, such as the BBC Languages site, before the course starts to familiarise yourself with a few of the basics!
If you have any questions regarding your suitability for this course, please contact us at ahedlanguages@psc.ac.uk.
