This course is for adults who have been learning German for a minimum of two years. Students should have a good knowledge of German, beyond basic tourist conversations.
Homework is given on a weekly basis. To benefit most from the course, you will be encouraged to re-read the materials used during lessons and refer to the course book.
What Will I Study?
You will enhance your learning and comprehension using the four language skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing. You will revise and solidify your knowledge of present and past tense to enable you to communicate with confidence.
Possible topics include:
Looking for a hotel - ask someone for help, institutions and places in town
Describing a house, a giving an opinion on a town
Appointments - writing emails
Expressing wishes and plans, congratulations and invitations
Giving advice on health and illness
Clothes: talk about clothes, describing outer appearance and character
In terms of grammar, you will cover: possessive pronouns, prepositions, imperatives and comparisons of adjectives.
Entry Requirements
You should have two years’ experience in learning German, or equivalent proficiency.
You should be able to talk about your daily routine, hobbies and likes and dislikes
