This 10 week course is designed for complete beginners who want to learn the fundamentals of the Greek language. It will introduce the Greek alphabet, basic grammar and essential vocabulary. This course will give you a solid foundation in both spoken and written Greek. 

Throughout the course, you will:

• Learn the Greek alphabet and proper pronunciation.
• Build essential communication skills for everyday situations. 
• Learn how to greet others, introduce yourself, and exchange basic personal details such as name, origin, address, job, and family status. 
• The course also covers counting, giving simple answers, and discussing spoken languages. 
• You will explore aspects of modern Greek culture and customs.

This course is open to complete beginners with no prior knowledge of Greek. No formal qualifications are required, just a willingness to learn. 

You may need to purchase a text book, which will be discussed in the first session. You will need to bring a pen and paper for note-taking. Additional handouts and audio resources will be provided to support your learning. Access to a Greek-English dictionary is recommended. 

Upon completion of this introductory course, you will have the option to progress to a more advanced course, Year 1, subject to sufficient demand. This will allow you to further develop your Greek skills and advance your proficiency in Greek.
