The Transactional Analysis 101 Certificate is for anyone interested in the basics of TA (Transactional Analysis) theory and for those who are considering the Foundation Degree course. It is also for experienced practitioners who wish to enhance their understanding of Transactional Analysis and integrate it into their practice. The course is run over one weekend.
This course will provide a solid basic knowledge, understanding and appreciation of Transactional Analysis and will enable potential students to make an informed decision about applying for a place on our Foundation Degree course.
Transactional analysis is a widely recognised form of modern psychology that involves a set of practical conceptual tools designed to promote personal growth and change. It is considered a fundamental therapy for well-being and for helping individuals to reach their full potential in all aspects of life.
Students will gain an overview of the history and origins of TA as well as an understanding of the philosophical assumptions of TA and will learn some of the basic concepts e.g. Ego States, Transactions and Strokes and Games.
Students will gain a certificate on completion and this is covered by the course fee.

Participants will receive a certificate on completion and may consider further training in TA in any one of the four fields.
Students may also consider applying for a place on our Foundation Degree in Humanistic Counselling based on Transactional Analysis (BACP accredited).
