It is intended for those who maintain the quality of assessment for an organisation or assessment centre. This qualification is awarded by CACHE.

What Will I Study?

The course aims to give learners an understanding of the principles and practice of internally assuring the quality of assessment. It is internally assessed and will involve assessment, observation, questions, professional discussions and recognition of prior learning. This qualification can usually be completed within six to nine months.

The course has two elements, which need to be completed. These are:

  • Award in Understanding the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practices

You will work on a one to one basis with your assessor who will take you through the qualification, marking your work. Alongside this you will be allocated a mentor to countersign any of your sampling.
