Overview

This course is for adults who have done some study of the language before, who have a basic knowledge of Spanish and can cope with basic tourist conversations. To join at this level, you should have studied the language for 1 year or equivalent and should have a good knowledge of the present tense – regular and irregular verbs. You will expand your vocabulary and grammar using all four language skills (speaking, listening, reading and writing) on practical topics to enable you to communicate.

We will listen to audio materials and practice pronunciation in class and will also spend some time developing your reading and writing skills. We will also look at Spanish grammar and look at talking about the past.

Homework is given on a weekly basis. To benefit most from the course, you will be encouraged to read the materials used during lessons and refer to the course book.
