This course is for anyone who wants to embark on the exciting journey of writing a novel, or to improve their skills in order to write longer pieces.
Join published author, Chris Higginson, as he guides you through the novel writing process, offering tips and techniques on turning your initial ideas into a novel.
What Will I Study?
During this 10-week course, you will explore various aspects of novel writing, such as: research and planning, structure, plot, and characterization. You will look at all of the nuts and bolts of writing long pieces, as well as the practicalities of working, editing and self-discipline.
Entry Requirements
No qualifications are needed, but it would most benefit people who have a little writing experience. However, enthusiasm and willingness to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in will outweigh anything you may or may not have done before.
Materials
Pen and paper, or a laptop/tablet if preferred.
Progression
Hopefully a finished novel, and possibly international fame and success! Students may also consider enrolling on one of our other Creative Writing or English Literature courses.
