No previous experience is needed – the tutor will support all students in their artistic development. Your tutor will also demonstrate drawing and painting techniques.

What Will I Study?

This is an informative and fun 10-week course which will encourage learners to explore methods of observational drawing, and how to translate drawings into painting with colour. We will also explore novel ways to work with colour imaginatively and explore composition, both with figurative and with abstract art.

This course will involve working from still life, elements of drawing from the figure, and exploring more expressive and imaginative approaches. Various techniques will be used, including pencil, charcoal, acrylic and paints.
