Overview

This art course is suitable for everyone interested in drawing and painting! Students will learn and develop skills allowing them to create artwork with confidence. No previous experience is needed – the tutor will stretch students according to their skill level.

What Will I Study?

This is a fun 10-week course, which will encourage learners to develop informed decisions about planning and executing new compositions and using new techniques to develop their work. Students will explore methods of planning and executing images through a variety of media.

This course will involve still life, portrait and observational drawing. Various techniques can be used, including pencil, charcoal, acrylic and paints.

Entry Requirements

No previous experience is necessary. The tutor will stretch individual learners according to their individual skill level.

Materials

Pencils, charcoal, putty rubber, acrylics (basic set - 3 primary colours plus black and white) and a selection of paint brushes suitable for acrylics. Please bring along a notepad/pencil in case you wish to make notes for yourself.
