Overview

This course is for adults who have done one year of the German language before, who have a basic knowledge of German and who can cope with basic tourist conversations.

To join at this level, you should have knowledge of the present tense, be able to give information about yourself and your family, and know the language you need for shopping, booking a hotel room and ordering food and drink.

What Will I Study?

You will increase your German vocabulary using all four language skills in a fun and engaging environment. The focus will be on practical topics, using speaking, listening, reading and writing.

We will be revising the use of the present and the past perfect tense and enhancing our ability to apply these in practice. We will be expanding our ability to use grammar including cases, sentence construction and use of verbs.

Homework is given on a weekly basis. To benefit most from the course, you will be encouraged to read the materials used during lessons and refer to the course book.
