This course is for adults who feel confident speaking French and want to continue practicing it and expanding their knowledge of French culture. To join at this level, you should have proficiency in the language and a good knowledge of all tenses. You should have studied the language for more than 7 years or equivalent.
You will expand your vocabulary and grammar using all four language skills (speaking, listening, reading and writing) on practical topics to enable you to communicate. You will expand existing vocabulary and keep revising the grammar you already know. You will be revising more complex grammatical points as well as more complex structures, enabling you to improve in all aspects of the language. We may also read a novel, watch series or films and discuss in class.
Homework is given on a weekly basis. To benefit most from the course, you will be encouraged to read the materials used during lessons.
What Will I Study?
To join at this level, you should be able to:
understand newspaper/magazine articles/books
give your opinion on current topics
write about yourself using all tenses.
Your tutor will advise of any necessary materials during your first session.

Course materials will be discussed at the first session. Please bring pen, paper and a folder.
Progression
We offer a Semester 2 that begins immediately after Semester 1 and is an integral part of the course, the exact length of which will be decided in the spring term. You would then be able to progress to the next level.
