Overview

Designed specifically for adults with learning diversities, this engaging four-week course offers a fantastic opportunity to connect with friends while exploring creativity in the great outdoors. Each session begins with time to settle in, catch up, and review outdoor safety guidelines together so everyone feels confident and supported. Participants then dive into a hands-on craft of the day, creating accessible, nature-inspired projects tailored to suit all skill levels and personal styles. The energy stays high with an interactive outdoor game designed to encourage movement, laughter, and teamwork. Finally, the group gathers in a relaxed, supportive circle to wind down, giving everyone a chance to share their finished creations, listen to one another's experiences, and celebrate their weekly achievements together.

  • Master practical knots: Learn simple, useful knot-tying techniques to construct and secure your outdoor crafts.
  • Discover local wildlife: Explore the surrounding outdoor space and learn to identify native plants, trees, and wildlife.
  • Practice outdoor safety: Learn how to risk assess and carry out site checks so everyone feels safe and confident in the environment.
  • Share and connect: Express your ideas, present your finished work, and listen to your classmates in a encouraging space.
  • Enjoy small-group learning: Build confidence and work together as part of a supportive, friendly outdoor community.
