Access to HE: Primary Teaching

Completing an Access to HE Diploma in Primary Teaching allows learners to progress onto a degree in Early Years, Teaching and other related subject areas. This can lead to a career working with children in a wide range of sectors including education and social care.

On completion of this course, students can apply to one of our Education and Childcare Degrees in Early Years, Special Educational Needs and Disabilities and Teaching and Learning. These are perfect for those looking to stay local and earn while gaining their degree.

What will I study?

Students applying for an Access to HE Diploma in Primary Teaching can choose to study three subjects. You must study at least one of the following:

Biology
Chemistry
Human Physiology
Statistical and Mathematical Methods

You may also choose from the following subjects:

Creative Writing
English Language & English Literature
History
Politics and International Relations
Psychology
Statistical and Mathematical Methods
