Governor Recruitment
Welcome to the micro site for the recruitment of a parent governor to join the Board of our College. The Board is responsible for shaping the strategy of this outstanding college and comprises a group of highly committed governors, some of whom have been with us for many years and others who have recently joined. Our current parent governor is at the end of his term of office and so we are looking for someone new to take his place. This is a voluntary position for a period of three years and is a rewarding opportunity for someone who would like to contribute to the success and development of the College.
Applications from those with professional backgrounds in HR or IT would be particularly welcome, but this is not essential. We are also keen to broaden the diversity of our Board membership and therefore welcome applications from underrepresented groups e.g. those who have a disability, so that we can better meet the needs of our diverse student body.
Applicants will be asked to confirm that they are not ineligible to serve e.g. due to bankruptcy restrictions. We are dedicated to safeguarding the students in our care and, to that end, a Disclosure and Barring Service enhanced disclosure will be required in the event of an individual being offered a position as a governor. Governors undertake regular safeguarding and Prevent training.
