Our training salons have undergone a significant transformation this summer, breathing new life into facilities that had become increasingly dated and tired. We have completely refreshed, de-cluttered and modernised three key training classrooms, creating improved learning environments for students pursuing beauty therapy, complementary therapies, sports massage and hairdressing qualifications.

Students now have access to more modern equipment, such as ultravisage and microdermabrasion machines and we have installed sophisticated lighting into one of the classrooms, which will enable students to film their treatments and tutors to record demonstrations for future reference, creating a valuable resource library for ongoing learning.

Hairdressing facilities have been completely revitalised with the addition of a modern colour mixing bar, brand new wash stations, contemporary client seating, and professional-grade hairdryers. These upgrades ensure students train with equipment that mirrors what they’ll encounter in commercial salons, better preparing them for their future careers.

As part of this transformation, the entire department will be rebranded as ‘The Academy’, with a fresh, modern identity that reflects the quality of training provided. Director of Adult & HE, Dom Thompson, said, “these substantial improvements demonstrate our commitment to providing exceptional training facilities that prepare students for successful careers. The modernised salons represent a significant step forward in vocational education, combining practical learning with real-world application in an environment that both students and clients will appreciate.”
