Peter Symonds is a vibrant sixth form college in Winchester which is rated by Ofsted as ‘outstanding’. We have a large team of committed and talented staff who are at the heart of the success of the College.
The NCFE T level in Education & Childcare provides students with the knowledge, skills and behaviours to enter employment in this field or to progress to higher education. We have three part time staff in the team, who have a wealth of expertise and enjoy well-appointed classrooms and excellent on-line resources. Work experience is a key element of the T level qualification and we have a part time, permanent vacancy for a Work Placement Officer to join the team for four hours a week with flexible working times. You will organise and coordinate all aspects of the students’ work experience placements, liaising between students, parents, employers and colleagues. You will monitor student attendance and progression, working to address issues and bring about improvements as required, providing reports and statistics as required. You will travel to placements and to external meetings as necessary.
The successful candidate will be a strong administrator and excellent communicator, able to organise their own workload. Ideally, they will have work experience in education or childcare, although this is not essential.
Please note, we are also advertising for a T Level Teacher and these roles can be linked.
