Full time. Temporary (maternity cover) – 1 year.
Salary in the range £30,500 - £47,133 pa.
Peter Symonds is located in Winchester. It is a vibrant sixth form college which has been rated by Ofsted as ‘outstanding’ in every respect. Our College motto has long been ‘Counting in Ones’ and we work hard to make this a supportive and friendly place to study, with every student treated as an individual. Not only is this at the heart of our work with our students, but we also strive to support and value our staff in the same way.
Our large Art department offers Fine Art, Textiles, Photography and 3D Sculpture to more than 500 students. Results in all areas continue to be excellent, with an outstanding record of progression to Foundation and Art degrees. This is a rare opportunity to join our enthusiastic team of thirteen, comprising eight teachers, two instructors and three technicians.
We are looking for someone to specialise in Fine Art, but it would be an advantage if you have experience in two or more of the disciplines offered by the department. Above all, you will be a skilled and committed teacher, able to inspire students to achieve of their best. We welcome applications from both newly qualified and experienced teachers. The post-holder will also have a tutor group that meet once a week.
