Daniel Spiers

Staff Governor

Daniel is Staff Governor for support staff in the College. He brings over 20 years multi-disciplinary and safeguarding experience from across education and the wider public sector. Having gained QTS in 2015 and subsequently the National Award for SENCo (NASENCo), Daniel has specialised in supporting those with complex needs and worked extensively for the local authority to support schools to remove barriers to learning and help secure best outcomes for students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). Daniel is the Head of Study Support at Peter Symonds College with oversight for exam access arrangements, Academic Skills (ASK), Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and students with specific learning differences.
