Information About The Post
Are you looking for a part-time evening job where you only have to work 38 weeks a year? We have an exciting opportunity to work term time only on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday from 8pm to 10pm (days could be changed to suit). The position is based at Peter Symonds College, where we have two boarding houses, accommodating over seventy boarders who are resident term time only and who have dedicated access to our on-site gym three evenings a week. As Boarding Gym Supervisor, you will assist them in the use of the apparatus, motivating and inspiring students in their use and ensuring safe practice at all times. You will also plan and oversee inter-boarding house sports competitions.
You will have a Gym Instructors Award at Level 2 and previous work experience in a gym. Additionally, you will need to be well organised, able to work positively with the 16 – 19 age group and be willing to undertake first aid training in order to respond to any incidents. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build their experience in the fitness industry, essentially running your own gym, alongside another job.
