The VTCT Level 4 Diploma in Advanced Beauty Therapy is a vocationally related qualification that will prepare you to gain employment as an advanced senior beauty therapist. Attendance is a combination of online and face-to-face learning, with 4 hours per week in college.

This course will allow you to develop an enhanced repertoire of advanced specialist beauty therapy techniques including: laser and light treatments for hair removal and microdermabrasion techniques. You will gain a greater theoretical knowledge and understanding of dermatology and microbiology, physiology of ageing, management of health, safety and security in the salon, quality management of client care and salon management. You will also have the opportunity to further develop your knowledge and skills by selecting from a range of optional units.

• Dermatology and microbiology
• Laser and light treatments for hair removal
• Laser and light treatments for skin rejuvenation
• Chemistry of hair and beauty products
• Mangement of health, safety and security in the salon
• Physiology of ageing
• Quality management of client care in the hair and beauty sector
• Salon management

Optional units:

• Research,
• IT and data handling
• Marketing
• Cultural, social and technological influences on beauty-related industries
• Public relations in the hair and beauty sector

Applicants must hold a beauty therapy qualification at Level 3.

This qualification will qualify you to gain employment as an advanced senior beauty therapist.
