The VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Beauty Therapy Treatments is designed for those wishing to pursue a career as an employed and/or self-employed beauty therapist. The aim of the course is to make you competent and confident in the advanced skills required by salons, to make you a desirable employee within the beauty therapy sector. Attendance is 1-2 days per week.
Throughout this qualification, learners will develop their knowledge and understanding of relevant anatomy and physiology and health and safety. They will also develop the knowledge, understanding and skills to consult with clients, successfully promote and retail products, provide a range of beauty treatments including Swedish massage, skin and body analysis and electrical science in order to make informed decisions for face and body electrical treatments. In parallel, learners will develop their communication and customer service skills, their awareness of environmental sustainability and their commercial skills, all of which are valued highly by employers. Problem solving and research skills will also be developed.

You will learn the practical skills of each unit and gain experience in client care. Students will also learn how to operate within the health and safety regulations of the industry. You will be working on fee paying clients very quickly to gain good communication skills, outstanding client care and customer service. Students will gain experience of dealing with all variations of client needs in a professional manner.
Applicants are required to hold a Level 2 Diploma in Beauty Therapy to start the level 3 course.
You will need a beauty therapy uniform, kit and a student text book – order forms for these are available at interview with a negotiated college discount from our suppliers.
Learners who complete this qualification are eligible to become members of the British Association of Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology (BABTAC) or Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT). As a beauty therapist, learners could progress directly into employment in a variety of contexts or may wish to develop their skills further by completing a specialist qualification at Level 4.
