Access to HE: Nursing & Midwifery

Completing an Access to Higher Education Diploma in Nursing & Midwifery provides learners with numerous progression routes to higher education and careers in Nursing, Midwifery, Physiotherapy, Radiography, Occupational Therapy and other health related subjects. Alternatively, some students have gone onto work as a Paramedic Practitioner or an Operating Theatre Practitioner.

What will I study?

Students applying for an Access to HE Diploma in Nursing & Midwifery can choose to study three subjects. You must study the following:

Professional Healthcare Practice
either Biology or Human Physiology

You must also choose one of the following:

Chemistry
English Language & English Literature
Psychology
Statistical and Mathematical Methods
