Information About The Post

Psychology is a thriving department, with over 850 students studying the subject at A level, following the AQA specification. We have fourteen teaching staff in the team and students are taught by two teachers, each covering different topics. Achievement levels are high, with a significant number of students progressing to read Psychology at HE every year.

We have a part time job for just under 0.5 FTE, preferably to include Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays. This is to start as soon as possible, although we are also interested to hear from people who could not begin until the new year. It is a temporary maternity cover post which will end when the mother returns from leave. The successful applicant will have a degree in Psychology or a closely allied subject, with an enthusiasm for their subject and the ability to share that with our students. We welcome applications from both newly qualified and experienced teachers. It is an excellent opportunity for someone to gain experience in an unusually large and successful team.

We are dedicated to safeguarding the students in our care. To that end, a Disclosure and Barring Service enhanced disclosure will be required in the event of an individual being offered a position within our College. Our staff undertake regular safeguarding training and are subject to ongoing safeguarding scrutiny.
