Information About The Post
We have a large dedicated Careers Department, which has held the Quality in Careers Standard, Investor in Careers since 2008. We are affiliated members of the CDI professional body, demonstrating commitment to providing impartial advice, guidance and progression to all students onto positive destinations once they complete their studies.
We are looking to appoint a Careers Assistant to join us on a part time basis for 10 hours a week, working over two days (between the core hours of 9.00am – 3.00pm). The current days are Tuesday and Wednesday, although we may have some flexibility for the right candidate. The successful candidate will be educated to at least Level 3, with experience of working in a busy office environment, excellent IT skills and possess strong customer service skills. Experience of working in a Careers environment is not essential.
The role will involve working in our busy Careers Department, with a team of Careers Advisers and Assistants, helping to support our 6th forms students with their next steps after completing their college studies. This is a fixed term post starting at the end of August and fixed term for one academic year.
We are dedicated to safeguarding the students in our care. To that end, a Disclosure and Barring Service enhanced disclosure will be required in the event of an individual being offered a position within our College. Our staff undertake regular safeguarding training and are subject to ongoing safeguarding scrutiny.
