Information About The Post

We have a very busy Catering Department with several cafes and a shop. At the weekend we provide a brunch and dinner service to students and staff in our two boarding houses and are looking for someone to join the team. Duties will include food handling, counter service, cleaning and clearing tables. No previous experience is required, but you must be reliable, able to maintain high standards of service and cleanliness, with a pleasant manner when dealing with students and colleagues.

The hours are either 1 pm to 7 pm or 10 am to 7 pm (with half an hour unpaid break) every Sunday in term time, a total of 32 weekends a year. You will be provided with a uniform and a meal when on duty. Other benefits include membership of a pension scheme. We are close to the station and have free staff parking.

Although we have a closing date of 27 May, we will start looking at applications as soon as they come in and reserve the right to appoint right away.

We are dedicated to safeguarding the students in our care. To that end, a Disclosure and Barring Service enhanced disclosure will be required in the event of an individual being offered a position within our College. Our staff undertake regular safeguarding training and are subject to ongoing safeguarding scrutiny.
