Information About The Post

Our Faculty of Maths & Science is probably the biggest in the country, with over a thousand students studying Biology. We have a large team of Technicians working alongside the Teachers in the Faculty, supporting students in achieving exceptional results.

Duties include preparing equipment for practicals, maintaining laboratory areas and liaison with both students and staff in their work. The posts are term time only plus Enrolment Week and three additional weeks to be worked by agreement in the team. We are looking for one person to work five days a week and one to work three days a week. Please indicate your preference in your application.

The ideal candidates will have a science qualification to level three or above, with a genuine interest in education and science. Experience working as a Science Technician would be an advantage but is not essential.

We are dedicated to safeguarding the students in our care. To that end, a Disclosure and Barring Service enhanced disclosure will be required in the event of an individual being offered a position within our College. Our staff undertake regular safeguarding training and are subject to ongoing safeguarding scrutiny.
