Information About The Post

We seek a new member of staff to join the team to teach Computer Science on a part time basis on a contract of approximately 0.6 FTE. The Computer Science and IT teams work closely together, collaborating and sharing resources in their work with approximately 300 students across the two subjects. The College has an excellent programme of staff development activities and offers good opportunities for career development.

You will have a good honours degree in Computer Science or a related subject, featuring software development; secure skills in Visual Studio 2010 or above and, ideally, the ability to program in C#. You will either have experience in teaching at A level or be able to demonstrate the potential to do this, hence this role is open to experienced, newly qualified or unqualified teachers who will to commit to train. It may suit a computer scientist or software developer graduate seeking a new direction in a truly rewarding role.

Please note that posts advertised to start in September 2021 actually commence with student enrolment in August. Teaching staff are required to work this week but should you have an existing commitment please make this clear on your application and we will honour it.

We are dedicated to safeguarding the students in our care. To that end, a Disclosure and Barring Service enhanced disclosure will be required in the event of an individual being offered a position within our College. Our staff undertake regular safeguarding training and are subject to ongoing safeguarding scrutiny.
