Information About The Post

The College is the largest centre for A level Environmental Science in the country and still growing. In a typical year, about half of the students in the department progress to study Environmental Science or similar degrees. This is therefore a rare opportunity for someone to join a big team on a substantial part time basis of approximately 0.8 FTE. We are looking for someone with a degree in this or a closely allied subject and welcome applications from both experienced and newly qualified teachers. Most important are the personal qualities of passion and enthusiasm for the subject and an ability to transfer that to students. You will be willing to plan and help run fieldwork activities and to share ideas to help in the further development of the subject.

Please note that posts advertised to start in September 2021 actually commence with student enrolment at the end of August. Teaching staff are required to work this week but should you have an existing commitment please make this clear on your application and we will honour it.

We are dedicated to safeguarding the students in our care. To that end, a Disclosure and Barring Service enhanced disclosure will be required in the event of an individual being offered a position within our College. Our staff undertake regular safeguarding training and are subject to ongoing safeguarding scrutiny.
