Information About The Post
Peter Symonds is a large sixth form college in Winchester, set in attractive grounds close to the railway station.
We are looking for people to join our team of Invigilators, supervising students in College and public examinations. This is an opportunity to work a few hours here and there, or all through the exam season providing support to the examinations team. Duties include supervising students and administration of exams e.g. collecting papers.
The exam series runs from early May until the end of June (omitting half term). You will also be required to attend training beforehand, which will be paid.
You will work under the direction of an experienced Senior Invigilator and no experience is required, although you should feel confident working with teenagers and with using computers. On the job training using College computers and systems will be provided however, basic skills in the use of computers is a requirement.
Once you are registered as an invigilator, more work may become available in subsequent exam seasons.
