Upcoming Concerts
The Music Department at Peter Symonds College invites you to join us for one of our series of upcoming concerts in March and April.
20 March: Simon Clarkson Memorial Concert
Venue: Chandler’s Ford Methodist Church
We feature the larger ensembles from our extensive Enrichment programme: Symonds Orchestra, College Brass, Big Band and College Choir, one highlight being soloist Rose Gosney in Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto in E minor (first movement).
27 March: Jazz and Soul Night
Our annual Jazz and Soul Night in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust is at the 1865 in Southampton on 27 March, featuring Soul Band and Big Band as well as many of our gifted instrumental and vocal soloists.
30 March: Chamber Choir
Chamber Choir will sing for Founder’s Day Evensong in Winchester Cathedral, featuring choral works by Howells, Tallis and Stainer.
19 April: HSMC End of Year Concert
A feast of chamber music in Winchester United Church for our End of Year HSMC Concert, with ensembles performing classical music from the Renaissance to the present day.
